About Carmela Davis, CPA, PLLC
Carmela Davis graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Texas State University with a BBA in Accounting, earning a 3.91 GPA in over 33 credit hours of accounting courses. She became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas in 1982 and founded her practice in 1985 after working for a Big 8 firm in Dallas and a regional firm.
Carmela prioritizes continuing education, completing over 50 hours annually to stay current in accounting, tax, and insurance matters. She is also actively involved with the IRS, volunteering to teach the VITA program and serving on the IRS Practitioner Appeals Liaison Committee.
Carmela enjoys running, outdoor sports, and community involvement outside of work. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Society of CPAs and the National Association of Tax Professionals, and she holds leadership roles in AMBUCS and Pink Heels.
